I was very annoyed with HP for introducing the 200LX without warning. I have lost my confidence in them and they will lose my support. I wrote you (Hal Goldstein on CompuServe) on the 14th of July, stating that I had decided to take the plunge and change from my 95LX to the new 2MB version of the HP 100LX. I was quite shocked to see that 2 weeks later HP introduced the 200LX. I could easily have waited two weeks. I don't think that is fair. What do you think I should do now?

[I sympathize with your position, but don't know a solution. You might be able to get the dealer to take it back.
Unfortunately, the problem you state would take place no matter when it was announced. Suppose HP announced in June that on Aug 1st it was introducing the 200LX. That would make all those who just purchased the HP 100LX right before the announcement unhappy. Also, HP would have a hard time making a profit. No one would buy the HP 100LX in June or July. The main difference in the 100LX and 200LX is Pocket Quicken which you can purchase separately. Enjoy the HP 100LX!
Sorry, I can't make any other suggestion -- Hal.]
